The Affordable Housing Board has organized open days at Makenji housing project in Murang'a County to allow members of the public visit the site and help them register to acquire the houses once they are completed.
During the four day exercise, the locals will get an opportunity to tour and inspect the affordable house units being constructed in Kandara constituency.
Currently, the construction of the 220 units is at 53 percent completion with the Murang'a County Director of Housing Ms Laureen Wasungu saying the houses are slated to be complete before the end of this year.
Furthermore, Wasungu underscored the open day saying members of the public will be assisted to register in the Boma Yangu portal as they await to occupy their units. "From today, Tuesday to Friday we will have an activation drive here at Makenji as members of the public will be allowed to visit the site and assess the houses.
