Kajiado East Member of Parliament Kakuta Ole Maimai has overseen the disbursement of National Government Constituencies Development Fund bursaries worth Sh 33 million with 6100 learners benefiting.
Giving out bursaries in Kitengela Ward, the MP stated that the bursaries were distributed in a fair and transparent manner and beneficiaries were drawn from every location in each of the five wards the constituency.
Kitengela ward which is densely populated got Sh5,969,000 for secondary students and Sh5,865,000 for tertiary and university students.
Oloosirkon-Sholinke ward was allocated Sh1.2 M for secondary students and Sh925,000 for tertiary and university students. "I continue to insist that we do due diligence in selecting the beneficiaries of the bursaries so that only the neediest benefit.
