Police in Kisumu East are looking for a man who attacked and stabbed his 24-year-old girlfriend after she dumped him.
According to reports by the Director of Criminal Investigations (DCI), the man, unable to accept that his ex had moved on, followed her to her new boyfriend's home in Nyakbong' village.
The attack, which occurred at 4:45 pm on Friday, left the young woman fighting for her life after being stabbed twice, once in the ear and once in the chest. "Preliminary information provided by neighbours to the police indicated that the assailant was unhappy after being left by his ex-girlfriend for a better choice, leading him to ambush her while she was alone in her new boyfriend's house," the DCI report revealed in part.
