The government has promised to support the welfare of security officers in the country in a renewed commitment to strengthening the country's security sector.
The Principal Secretary for Internal Security, Raymond Omollo, emphasised that the welfare of officers across the National Youth Service, National Police Service, Kenya Prisons Service, and other security agencies remains a top priority for the administration.
He spoke on Saturday during a Thanksgiving service held at the National Youth Service (NYS) Headquarters in Ruaraka.
He lauded the NYS for its instrumental role in moulding young people into disciplined and responsible citizens. "Those who have gone through NYS carry themselves with admirable discipline.
