Two people lost their lives over the weekend in separate incidents reported within Kenya's national game parks.
According to a statement issued on Sunday by the Kenya Wildlife Services (KWS), the first incident occurred on a ranch bordering the southern edge of Nairobi National Park, where a lioness fatally attacked a 14-year-old girl.
The girl, according to KWS, was mauled in Savannah near the Nairobi National Park, with the authority revealing that the details of the incident are yet to be confirmed. The lion is reported to be from the Nairobi National Park and is said to have met the girl after it accessed a residential compound within the Savannah Ranch.
