Echoes of War playwright Cleophas Malala has invited Kenyans to audition for roles in the play.
The audition call comes in the wake of controversy surrounding the production, which was originally set to be performed by Butere Girls before facing criticism from some leaders over its theme.
In an official statement, Malala announced that auditions will run from April 22 to May 5. "If you are an actor, love the stage, and have the confidence to own a role, this is your moment," read part of the announcement.
