The incoming Devolution PS Michael Loikenu Lenasalon has officially assumed the office, taking over from his predecessor, Teresia Mbaika in a formal handover ceremony held at Teleposta Towers, Nairobi.
Mbaika has since been redeployed to the State Department for Aviation and Aerospace Development under the Ministry of Roads and Transport, where she will serve in the same capacity.
The transition event was attended by key players in the devolution sector, all expressing optimism that Loikenu's leadership would inject renewed energy into the department's efforts to deepen devolution across the country.
