There was tension at Ramba Boys High School in Siaya County on Thursday evening after students staged demonstrations demanding the immediate transfer of their school principal.
While demonstrating, the irate learners expressed frustration over what they termed poor leadership and mismanagement by Principal Wycliffe Manoa.
During the protests, which began at around 6 p.m., the students burned the security house, which is situated close to the institution's main gate.
As the demonstrations escalated, the students forced themselves out of the institution and proceeded to protest at a nearby market centre.
