Kawangware area in Nairobi, not a normal leafy suburb area expected to be visited by a state leader, has been pinpointed as one of the places Finland President Alexander Stubb will be visiting.
President Stubb and First Lady Suzanne Innes-Stubb will pay Kenya a State Visit from May 12 to 14, in a historic first-time visit by a Finnish president to Kenya.
While Kenya and Finland enjoy diplomatic ties rooted in Kenya's independence in 1963, a Finnish President has never visited Kenya.
Engagements between the two countries have primarily been through ministerial visits and development cooperation rather than high-level state visits.
