Male parents and guardians have been challenged to actively participate in their children's education affairs by supporting academic programmes including attending meetings at school whenever invited.
Lugari Member of Parliament Nabii Nabwera who spoke at Mbagara Pentecostal Assemblies of God Church Sunday reprimanded men for failing to support their children's academic journey citing their poor attendance at school meetings.
He lamented that men have abdicated their parental responsibilities and relegated the education affairs of their children to their wives which was partly to blame for poor academic results.
He said as schools reopen for second term, parents should ensure their children report back to school and work hard to reciprocate the efforts his office was putting in to uplift the constituency's education standards. "I only have one problem.
