Kiambu County Governor Kimani Wamatangi has dismissed seven members of the Ward Education Bursary Committees, whom he replaced almost immediately.
The governor, through the County Executive Committee Member (CECM) for Education, Gender, Culture, and Social Services, Mercy Njagi, confirmed the members' revocation and the new appointment in a gazette notice on Friday, May 2.
The dismissed members include Timothia Gichia, who served as the chairperson of Muchatha Ward, and Julius Wambui Kinyanjui and Pauline Kamau, who were members of Muchatha Ward.
Others include Rosemary Njeri Ndichu, who was the chairperson of Karai Ward; Geffrey Ndung'u, a member of Sigona Ward; Hannah Wanjiru Mburu, chairperson of Bibirioni Ward; and Joseph Kuria Wanjiru, who was a member of Kijabe Ward.
