The three Kenyans who passed away in a tower inferno in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates (UAE), will soon be repatriated for burial after the intervention of former Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko.

Taking to social media on Saturday night, the former governor stated that the three would be arriving in the country on different days, being May 4, May 5 and May 6. "Finally, the 3 bodies of Kenyans who died in a fire tragedy in Sharjah, UAE, will be repatriated from Dubai International airport to JKIA starting from tomorrow," part of the statement read.

The body of the first deceased, Ian Ndung'u Mungai, is expected to arrive at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) at 11:10am on Sunday, May 4.
