A key suspect in the murder of Kasipul Member of Parliament Charles Ong'ondo Were has been arrested by officers from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI).
During the Sunday morning arrest in Nairobi, a vehicle suspected of having been used in the getaway was also seized.
The car had been captured on security cameras near Parliament Building, City Hall Way, Wabera Street, Kenyatta Avenue, Jakaya Kikwete Road, Argwings Kodhek Road and Valley Road.
An accomplice to the shooting, who is still at large, is also being pursued by the DCI detectives.
