The Member of Parliament for Lurambi Constituency, Bishop Titus Khamala, has overseen the disbursement of Sh55 million in bursaries through the National Government Constituency Development Fund (NGCDF).
University and college students from the constituency will each receive Sh5,000, while those in Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institutions will get Sh4,000.
Students in both day and boarding secondary schools have also been allocated Sh5,000 each.
Bursary allocations by ward are as follows: Butsotso Central Ward - Sh12,940,000; Sheywe Ward - Sh8,670,000; Butsotso East Ward - Sh8,488,000; Shirere Ward - Sh6 million; and Mahiakalo Ward - Sh5,420,000.
