The government is set to kickstart a public participation process next week to gather feedback regarding the Technical Working Group on Gender-Based Violence (GBV), which was appointed by President William Ruto on Friday,January 10.

The public participation will be conducted between  Monday, May 12, and Wednesday, May 28, across all 47 counties, starting from 9am. "In keeping with the Constitutional imperative of ensuring wide consultation and public participation, the Technical Working Group on GBV Including Femicide will hold citizen engagement meetings in all the 47 counties from 9:0 am on the dates and venues indicated herein below," a notice stated.

Monday, 12 May: the process will be conducted in seven counties, including Taita Taveta at the CDF Hall, Mwatate, and in Garissa at the Garissa Government guest house.

The others are Marsabit, at the Marsabit Catholic Cathedral hall; Embu, at the talent centre in Embu town; Samburu, at the Maralal Vocational Training Centre; and Kisumu, at Mama Grace Onyango Social Hall.  In Trans Nzoia, the process will be conducted at the Kitale National Polytechnic.
