Prime Cabinet Secretary and Cabinet Secretary for Foreign and Diaspora Affairs, Musalia Mudavadi has held a meeting with Congressman Brian Mast, Chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee at Capitol Hill.

The two leaders discussed regional security and economic collaboration, with Mudavadi expressing gratitude for the US government's long-standing support in advancing peace and stability across East Africa. "Kenya and the United States have long collaborated in advancing peace and security across the Great Lakes Region, a partnership that remains vital for lasting stability in this dynamic area," Mudavadi said after the meeting.

He also urged US lawmakers to support stronger economic cooperation. "I encouraged the committee's leadership to champion deeper economic ties by inviting US investors to explore the vast opportunities within the Kenyan market," he added.

Mudavadi was accompanied by Kenya's Ambassador to the US, David Kerich, during the Capitol Hill engagement.
