Kirinyaga Woman Representative Njeri Maina has been honoured in the United Kingdom for her work in youth and women leadership in Kenya.
She received the award during the 2025 MK Inspiration Awards held at the Mayor of Milton Keynes Civic Reception and Awards Ceremony.
Njeri was recognised for her Tupange Kesho program, which focuses on empowering young people and women in Kirinyaga County.
The initiative provides mentorship, entrepreneurship training and civic education.
