Amidst escalating economic anxieties, residents of the Bahraini Centre engaged in a frantic scramble on Wednesday afternoon, seizing bags of maize flour from an overturned lorry.
The lorry had overturned near the centre along the Eldoret-Kitali Highway, blocking the road.
In a video seen by Kenyans.co.ke, the residents were captured running from the site with bales of the looted maize flour plopped on their backs, and others even used motorbikes.
This is not unlike what Kenyans are used to during such spills, with similar occurrences being reported whenever a similar spill happens.
