United States Secretary of State Marco Rubio has hinted at visiting Kenya soon while holding talks with Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi in the US.
The revelations come barely a month after Rubio cancelled a planned visit to Nairobi.
Mudavadi, who also serves as the Foreign Affairs CS, through a statement released on Thursday, May 8, disclosed that Rubio expressed his desire to visit the East African nation after a high-level meeting in Washington, DC. "In Washington, DC, I held a high-level meeting with the US Secretary of State, Senator Rubio, where we discussed regional peace and security, expanded trade and investment, and deepened diplomatic engagement," Mudavadi stated. "He expressed keen interest in visiting Kenya to further strengthen our strategic partnership," added the CS.
