The Ford Foundation has appointed Kenyan Margaret Mliwa as its new Regional Director for East Africa.

The foundation's regional office is based in Nairobi.

The Ford Foundation is an independent organization that works to reduce poverty and injustice, strengthen democratic values, promote international cooperation, and advance human achievement.

Martin Abregu, the Vice President for International Programs at the foundation, lauded Mliwa's appointment and praised her exceptional skills and leadership.  "We are thrilled to recognize and celebrate Margaret Mliwa's leadership as the regional director for the Ford Foundation's East Africa office," Abregu said.  An image of Margaret Mliwa, Programs Officer at Ford Foundation, on October 2018.
