The president made the remarks while signing an Executive Order establishing the country's first-ever self-deportation program, which allows undocumented immigrants to voluntarily register and leave the country before being apprehended by authorities.
According to the directive, those who fail to comply will face severe penalties, including wage garnishment, where their income is entirely withheld, lengthy prison sentences, hefty financial penalties, and confiscation of all assets.
Other consequences include incarceration and sudden deportation at a time, place, and manner determined solely by the U.S.
