The 15-hour traffic congestion along the Nairobi-Nakuru Highway has finally been cleared following a multi-agency intervention led by the National Police Service (NPS).

While confirming the smooth traffic flow, Police Spokesperson Muchiri Nyaga on Saturday evening said the gridlock was mainly caused by heavy rains experienced in Nakuru County.

According to the police boss, the downpour in Nakuru City and its surroundings began yesterday at around 4 p.m.

and extended into the night until around 8 p.m.
