Detectives have zeroed in on the man responsible for pulling the trigger to kill Kasipul Member of Parliament Charles Ong'ondo Were, 12 days after the lawmaker lost his life.

In a well-coordinated operation, detectives were able to arrest arguably the most crucial suspect in the case just as he was about to flee the country.

An officer close to the investigation revealed intrigues of the operation, as detectives were able to piece together the suspect's movements immediately after he took out the MP on April 30.

The suspect reportedly fled to the Mihang'o area in Embakasi immediately after the fatal shooting.
