Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has formally resigned from the ruling United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party, ahead of an anticipated launch of his own political vehicle this week.
Gachagua tabled his resignation letter on Monday, May 12, effectively severing all ties with President William Ruto's party. "By a copy of this letter, you are notified that I have officially resigned from the UDA Party with immediate effect," Gachagua stated in his letter.
