President William Ruto has called for the creation of a joint entity by Kenya and the European Union to facilitate trade partnerships and employment between Nairobi and Europe.

President Ruto challenged the Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KNCCI) to work with the European Union Chamber (EuroCham) to establish a Business Council in a move that will benfit thousands of Kenyans should it come to fruition.

Ruto, who spoke during the launch of EuroCham n Nairobi on Monday, sought to champion the strengthening of ties between the EU organ and the government to promote trade as well as climate change efforts. "A major highlight of today's engagement is the launch of the European Union Chamber (EuroCham).

This marks a new chapter in deepening Kenya-EU private sector collaboration.
