A section of youths from Uasin Gishu County have embarked on a clean-up exercise in the region to promote environmental conservation.
The clean-up drive that began at Kapsoya (Ainabkoi sub-county) and Ziwa (Soy sub-county) centres has now covered Eldoret City and is expected to be carried out across the county.
Today, the volunteers cleaned Eldoret city central business district and the Eldoret Arboretum.
Speaking during the exercise, Uasin Gishu Chief Officer for Environment, Energy, and Natural Resources, Mark Some, who spearheaded the campaign, highlighted that the drive aligns with the County administration's promise to create a clean, safe, and healthy environment.
