Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has officially launched his political party, the Democracy for the Citizens Party (DCP), with notable names missing from the top leadership.
At an event on Thursday, May 15, Gachagua unveiled the political vehicle that he hopes will guide him into the presidency in the upcoming 2027 general elections.
The new party is characterised by neon green, brown and white colours, with the slogan "Skiza Wakenya" and a logo showing an illustration of an ear with fingers cupped around it, describing the act of listening.
The party will be headed by Gachagua, with former Kakamega Senator Cleophas Malala as the interim Deputy Party Leader.
