Senior State officials have told the opposition leaders to stop criticising the government over alleged unfulfilled promises.
Speaking yesterday after inspecting Raila Odinga stadium where Madaraka Day will be held in Homa Bay, Sports Cabinet Secretary Salim Mvurya, Homa Bay Governor Gladys Wanga, Interior PS Raymond Omollo, Government Spokesman Isaac Mwaura, and Homa Bay Town MP Peter Kaluma, claimed the government is on track and has completed some projects.
Mvurya said the completion of the stadium is proof that the government's promises are real. "President Ruto came here with ODM leader Raila Odinga in December last year and directed that this stadium be upgraded.
As we stand here today, I can confirm that the work has been done and the only thing remaining is the placement of iron sheet on the roof, work which is going on," said Mvurya.
