Contractors who are constructing the Economic Stimulus projects ESP flagship projects, the markets, affordable housing projects (AHP), and other projects in Kericho County have been urged to fast-track the works in order to beat the deadline for completing the projects.
Speaking during the National Government Development County Implementation Coordination and Management Committee Meeting (NGD-CICMC), the Deputy County Commissioner (DCC) Mr Anthony Kirui in the County Commissioner's Office, who represented the County Commissioner Mr Gilbert Kitiyo, urged Contractors to live up to the contractual terms signed before the commencement of the works and deliver the projects in good time to allow the Kenyans to access services and benefit from the projects.
Mr Kirui at the same time called on various heads of departments (HODs) to work as a team while implementing government projects and in their normal day-to-day discharge of government Service delivery to wananchi.
Speaking at the same function the Housing officer Ms Annabel Mwangi Wangare said that the Construction of Chesinende, Sosiot and Kapkatet markets was at 23 percent, 35 percent and 63 percent respectively.
