Kakamega County Governor Fernandes Barasa has put in place efforts to create safe, child-friendly learning environments across the region.

He said his government will offer unwavering commitment to early childhood development and underscored the importance of quality education in shaping the future of the county.

Speaking during a developmental tour of Ikolomani Sub-County, Barasa highlighted progress in various Early Childhood Development Education (ECDE) projects. "We are committed to giving our children a strong start in life by investing in safe and conducive learning spaces," said the governor.

He said the newly constructed Ikhulili ECDE Centre in Ikolamani is now complete, while the Irechelo ECDE Centre is already operational.
