Calls for Interior Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen's resignation continue to intensify following sharp criticism from Githunguri MP Gathoni Wamuchomba, who has questioned his ability to handle security matters.
Citing the recent shooting of Catholic priest Alloyce Cheruiyot Bett in Kerio Valley, Wamuchomba accused Murkomen of failing to address insecurity in bandit-prone areas, despite previously condemning the former administration for similar shortcomings.
According to the MP, Murkomen had performed better as a vocal critic rather than as a government official, stating that he should just resign. "The killing of the Catholic father by Bandits is Heartbreaking.
Murkomen should just resign," Wamuchomba said.
