Former Harambee Stars captain Victor Wanyama has hinted at a return to the national team Harambee Stars.
In an interview with the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC), Wanyama hinted that he might come out of retirement to play for the national team, citing productive talks with current coach Benni McCarthy. The experienced midfielder, who retired from national duty in 2021, revealed that McCarthy had made several attempts to convince him to reconsider his decision. "I've spoken to him [McCarthy] a few times, and he's been trying to persuade me to come back," Wanyama told the BBC.
