The Nairobi County Government has directed landowners in five sub-counties: Kasarani, Embakasi East, Embakasi West, Embakasi Central and Embakasi North, to register their lands in the county database.
The County Head of Public Service, Godfrey Akumali, in a notice on Saturday, May 24, said the county government had already commenced enrolling landowners in the five sub-counties into the new land rates system.
According to Akumali, the county government began the registration process on May 19, adding that the enrolment would take place for the next 12 days, with the deadline set for May 30.
Akumali reiterated that while the registration was still open for unregistered landowners in the aforementioned sub-counties, the process would only be done during official working hours.
