Nyahururu Environment and Land Law (ELC) Court has called upon members of public with dispute cases to embrace mediation as an alternative dispute resolution instead of relying on conventional court process.
Nyahururu ELC Judge Justice Lucy Mbugua lauded meditation process in solving environment and land disputes saying it was faster and reduced court workload as well as saving its precious time.
Justice Mbugua who was addressing participants at Nyahururu law court premises during ELC mediation open day further noted that cases, especially involving family disputes resolved through mediation leads to a win-win situation where every side felt the case was resolved amicably leading to long lasting cordial relationship.
The Judge said mediation is good for cases involving society or groups as well as individual cases which result in long term peaceful coexistence.
