A 3-year-old boy stolen from the parents' Ruiru home has been safely rescued, with two suspected human traffickers arrested in a cross-county police operation.

A bold rescue mission by detectives has brought hope to a devastated family after their 3-year-old son was found safe, days after being stolen from their home in Ruiru, Kiambu County.

The mission, launched following a report filed at Ruiru Police Station, led to the arrest of two suspects in Nyeri County.

Detectives from the Anti-Human Trafficking and Child Protection Unit traced the suspected traffickers across counties, following leads that pointed to a child trafficking ring operating between Central and Western regions.
