Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party leader Raila Odinga has donated his personal piece of land to the government for the construction of Affordable Housing.
President William Ruto made the revelation during his tour, ahead of the handover of the housing units in Kisumu City on Thursday, May 29, 2025, while addressing residents.
According to the Head of State, Odinga donated a total of 5 acres to help the government construct houses for low-income earners in the lakeside city. ''I have come with Raila, who has given us his personal land amounting to 5 acres to construct the affordable houses so that the people of Kisumu City can also benefit,'' Ruto announced.
The Head of State further thanked Odinga for his kind gesture towards his flagship project.
