Nandi leaders have lauded the work of National Government Administrative Officers and other security agencies in maintaining law and order across the county.

Addressing the locals during the celebration to mark the 62nd Madaraka Day at Sirwa Yala Primary School in Kapkangani Division, the leaders said the NGAO team were coordinating well to ensure Nandi residents enjoyed a secure and peaceful environment.

Emgwen Member of Parliament, Josses Lelmengit, admitted that cases of insecurity across Nandi County were isolated and that the NGAO team led by County Commissioner Caroline Nzwili were working tirelessly to ensure there was peace in the County. "We want to thank the police and the NGAO officers for the commendable work you are doing for our people because we understand that without security, we can't do anything," he confessed.

Lelmengit extended the gratitude to the security agencies who are fighting bandits in war-torn areas, including Kerio Valley. "Even those working in bandit-infested areas, fighting those who steal cows and kill people, know that we recognize your work," MP Lelmengit added.
