The Kenya Meteorological Department has announced that heavy rainfall and strong winds will continue in several parts of the country from Friday, June 6, to Monday, June 9, 2025.
In its advisory, the weather department revealed that areas expected to receive rain include regions in the Highlands East and West of the Rift Valley, the Lake Victoria Basin, the Central Rift Valley, and the Coast.
The department also warned of strong winds, especially along the Coast, and in parts of the South-eastern lowlands, North-eastern, and North-western Kenya.
According to the department, wind speeds may exceed 25 knots (about 46 km/h), which could affect small boats and outdoor activities.
