The Governor of the Central Bank of Kenya (CBK), Kamau Thugge, was sent away by a parliamentary committee on Thursday, June 5, for failing to present the required documents to support his submissions.

Thugge had appeared before the National Assembly's Committee on National Cohesion and Equal Opportunity, which is chaired by Mandera West MP Aden Yussuf Haji.

The Governor had been summoned to respond to questions regarding ethnic diversity and equal job opportunities at the CBK. "After carefully reviewing your presentation, the Committee has established that your report lacks the required supporting documents," the chair stated.
