Kenyans whose land was acquired for the construction of the Riruta-Ngong Meter Gauge Railway Commuter Line can soon lay their compensation claims.

This is after the National Land Commission Chairman, Gershom Otachi, published dates and times where they can lay these claims in a notice on the June 5 issue of the Kenya Gazette. "In pursuance of section 112 of the Land Act, 2012, Part VIII and further to Gazette Notice No. 16243 of 2024, the National Land Commission on behalf of the Kenya Railways (KR) gives notice that an inquiry to hear claims to compensation for the interested Parties in land required for construction of the Riruta-Ngong Meter Gauge Railway Commuter Line land acquisition in Kajiado County shall be held on the dates and places as shown below," part of the notice read.

The compiled list consists of 49 pieces of land acquired around Ngong and Nairobi and their listed owners, alongside when they can lay their claims.
