Senate Majority Leader Aaron Cheruiyot and Ainamoi MP Benjamin Langat have called for the disbandment of the National Cohesion and Integration Commission (NCIC).
The two leaders also demanded the resignation of NCIC Chairman Samuel Kobia, citing alleged complacency in addressing hate speech and fostering national unity.
Speaking during the commissioning of refurbished classrooms at Torsogek Primary School in Ainamoi Constituency, Cheruiyot and Langat expressed dissatisfaction with NCIC's performance.
They accused the commission of allegedly abdicating its responsibilities while enjoying public resources without tangible results.
