Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi has dismissed claims that he is backing anyone in the upcoming Malava by-election.

Speaking at the Friends Tande High School in the constituency, Mudavadi, however, said President William Ruto's UDA party should field a candidate and asked teachers to take interest in politics.  "You are opinion shapers, not bystanders.

You shape knowledge, verify truth, and influence the direction of society.

This is a moment of critical importance for the people of Malava and Kakamega, and your voices must be heard," he said.
