Busia Senator Okiya Omtatah has called for the resignation and arrest of the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) boss, Mohammed Amin, following the inconsistencies recorded on Albert Ojwang's death.

In a statement on Sunday morning, the presidential hopeful stated that Amin needed to be held accountable after CCTV footage debunked the DCI's claims.

In the CCTV footage provided by Mbagathi Hospital, it was confirmed that the late blogger was at the hospital at 1:35am despite the DCI's earlier assertion that he was still at the Central Police Station at that time. "At 1:35am, CCTV footage from Mbagathi Hospital, aired by Citizen TV, confirmed Albert Ojwang was already dead.

Yet DCI Boss Mohamed Amin claimed he was in a police cell at that exact time.
