A 46-year-old man has been sentenced to 14 years in prison by a Murang'a court after he was found guilty of sodomizing a 17-year-old boy with a mental problem.
Senior Resident Magistrate Erick Musambai found Dismus Gitau Wanjira guilty of committing the heinous offense on May 23, 2024, in the Matithi area of Murang'a County.
According to the victim, Gitau invited him into his house, where he undressed and sexually assaulted him.
The victim's father stated that his son confided in him about the incident involving the accused and in effort to verify the claims, he visited the suspect, who denied the accusations.
