The National Drought Management Authority (NDMA) has spearheaded a tree planting and dignity kit distribution exercise at Ntherone and Kianda Primary Schools in Igembe South Sub-County.

The initiative saw the planting of 520 trees, including a diverse mix of indigenous trees such as Grevillea, Meru Oak, and Moringa, and fruit trees including orange, mango, Hass Avocado and macadamia.

The event was part of the national Government's effort to combat climate change and environmental degradation via the Government of Kenya's 15 billion trees campaign.
