Goons who infiltrated protests in the Nairobi Central Business District (CBD) have come out, confessing to being hired by influential persons to disrupt the peaceful marches.
While speaking to Citizen TV, a number of the goons confessed to being paid as little as Ksh50 to disrupt the protests, with some even lamenting being short-changed and ending up with no pay at all.
The goons were brought in to cause havoc at the protests witnessed on Tuesday, June 17, held in honour of Albert Ojwang.
Unleashing terror on protesters and looting shops, the stick-wielding goons were rumoured to have been paid by politicians.
