Ongoing roadworks along the Gichocho-Ndumberi road are expected to enhance connectivity, drainage and economic activity in the area, with tangible progress already visible.
The project, which involves grading, murraming, and compaction of a previously untarmacked section, is part of an infrastructure improvement plan aimed at boosting rural connectivity and improving road usability, especially during rainy seasons.
In addition to the road upgrade, the project includes the paving of drainage channels and the installation of culverts in areas prone to waterlogging.
These enhancements are expected to improve the road's durability and reduce long-term maintenance costs.
