Kisii County has partnered with Walkabout Foundation to distribute 100 wheelchairs to children with mobility challenges.

The event, held at Gusii Stadium, brought together children with cerebral palsy, spinal bifida, and other neuromuscular disorders plus their caregivers and community health volunteers from all nine Sub-counties.

Speaking to KNA, the Foundation's Wheelchair Centre Manager, Carol Mureithi, said the goal of the initiative is to create lasting change through access and awareness. "This partnership is not just about mobility devices; it is meant to restore freedom and dignity.

Each chair is assembled with precision to ensure the child's safety and comfort in their daily environment," explained Mureithi.
