Kirinyaga Woman Representative Njeri Maina has urged lawyers to provide legal services to help secure the release of everyone who was arrested during the June 25 protests.
In her statement on Thursday, June 26, Maina called on young lawyers to provide assistance by offering sustained legal representation and ensure that the detained are released today.
According to Maina, there are hundreds of young people in detention across the 27 counties.
Those arrested were among the crowds who took to the streets to protest against police brutality and commemorate those who lost their lives during last year's anti-Finance Bill protests.
