In response to claims that she planned the arson against Kibwezi West MP Mwengi Mutuse's hotel, the Director of Criminal Investigations has called Makueni Woman Representative Arbana Wambua.
Following a recent protest that resulted in the burning of his hotel in Wote, Mwengi Mutuse, the mover of the impeachment motion for former DP Rigathi Gachagua, was declared unsuccessful.
The hotel, located in Wote town, was among several properties vandalised and set ablaze during the nationwide demonstrations on June 25.
The establishment was the target of a mob, according to earlier police reports, but the new allegations raise the possibility that the attack had political motivations.
